Celebrating 110 Years: the Lacombe Police Force

History Lecture: “History of the Lacombe Police Service” by Gary Leslie at 7pm at the LMC

March 29th

Dairy: a local industry then and now

History Lecture: “History of Dairy Farming in the Lacombe Area” by Lawrence Henderson at 7pm at the LMC

As of January 2012, temporary exhibits complementing the Lacombe Public Library's award winning History Lecture Series will be installed at the Flatiron Museum replacing some of the exhibits currently on display. The exhibits are being organized by the Lacombe & District Historical Society in collaboration with Lacombe’s Mary C. Moore library, the Lacombe Police Force, the local girl guides, in addition to other groups, businesses and individuals in the community.

Each exhibit will be unveiled at the Flatiron Museum on the same day that the accompanying history Lecture is held at the Lacombe Memorial Centre; January 26th, February 23rd, March 29th. The Flatiron Museum will be from 1pm – 7pm on these three days so that individuals may view the displays prior to attending each lecture.
