Gull Lake: Archival Photos from the collection

July, August and September 2013

The exhibition will feature a selection of black and white archival photographs of Gull Lake from the collection of the Lacombe & District Historical Society. The photographs, taken by photographers John Scales and the Ben Cameron Photo Studio of Lacombe, portray the popular vacation destination in its heyday from 1900 to 1940.

With over 100 historic photographs of Gull Lake in its collection, the Museum will be displaying a photo album with all of the pictures for visitors to see.

This exhibition has been organized by the Lacombe & District Historical Society in commemoration of the Summer Village of Gull Lakes centennial year (1913-2013).

Centennial celebrations have been organized by the Gull Lake Centennial Committee and will be taking place in Gull Lake August 2-5, 2013. For more information visit their website at www.gulllakecentennial.com
